A Day Worth Recording

Hammerfor

How many camels in a Hammerfor?

What's a Hammerfor?

Knocking nails in!

OK, I'll keep to the day job.  The 'nails' in this case were length of iron piping used to mark where the RSJs are going as part of the retaining wall that's going in next week.  Whatever was supposed to be retaining the earth to the right of this had long since gone, leaving a somewhat precarious path along the top.  We've had to remove quite a lot of ground to get the space to put the retaining wall in. That's all got to go back in behind the wall.

I'm hoping the ghost of the 19th century gardener of the croquet lawn (then tennis court) that was originally here will forgive the million tons of soil resting on it.  We're working on it... it'll be flat again - well, flatish.
