Honours even

The big match ended up an honourable 6-6 draw.

However it is worth noting that the ladies sent out their over 50s team, and the Gifford Gentlemen had a few 20 somethings in the ranks...

The game was played out in a good spirit, even when the Gifford goalkeeper mis-timed a punch clearance and connected with the ladies' centre forward. Oops! There was some distinctively un-ladylike language after that!!

The main thing was that we raised a decent chunk of money to help out a family in trouble.

Apparently there's another wee sporting event on in London - did any of you catch the opening ceremony?
