Town and Around

Today we left the cars at the meeting place, and had a lovely walk around town.  We started by walking beside the lake, and past our famous Willow Tree (photo).  Then through Wanaka Station Park, into Meadow Stone, and along some lovely 'green belts' that I didn't know existed!!  We walked past the Golf Course, (extra 1), onto Ballantyne Road, then we donned our high viz vests, (extra 2) and walked through the new subdivision called 'Three Parks'.  We had our lunch sitting at the base of Mt Iron, then walked back into town, stopping for a cuppa before heading back to the cars.  The rain that was forecast didn't eventuate, so we had a lovely day out, not too cold, +12C.  19 of us enjoyed our walk around town.
