Full Strawberry Moon June 2016

I just had to shoot the Moon this morning (1.32)because it's the first time I've had clear skies for ages, and this June the Solstice and full Moon coincide  -  first time for 70 years.  June’s Full Moon’s name is the Full Strawberry Moon  -  it got its name because the Native American Algonquins knew it as a signal to gather ripening fruit.  In Europe it is sometimes known as the Full Rose Moon, or the Honey Moon.  Of course, it's not really Strawberry-coloured but when I did a Smart Photo Fix on it it did turn a bit pink!  Ah well, off to bed now:)
