Melted

How anything could keep from melting in our 120°F heat, I have no idea!  Ok, so this one didn't literally melt, or even wilt, in the insanely extreme heat, but it makes a good story.  This is the nearly spent head of one of my well-watered garden sunflowers, so it led a privileged life in the desert.
