I despair.

For over a hundred years C. F. Martin & Co made really beautiful instruments with pride and integrity. Then in the mid-sixties, standards began to decline - corners began to get cut.

Over the last decade, Martins have hit an all-time low - they're using Formica for the back & sides.

If you drop a wooden-built guitar on its backside, you might have a bit of a repair on your hands - but wood is a very forgiving material, and the repair will be comparatively minor.

Drop a Formica-built guitar on its backside - you can expect zero forgiveness - an enormous repair bill - and...
