Naughty bee

I didn't have much time for a blip today, so it was a quick scout round the garden!
It was fascinating to watch the bumble bees 'stealing' the nectar from the Aquilegia flowers. The flowers are designed to feed, and be pollinated by insects with long tongues hence the long tubes behind the petals, Bumble bees however generally have shorter tongues so to get to the nectar they literally 'bite' into the tubes and just sip it out!
If you look closely at the tubes in this shot you can see the holes bitten in them, and a naughty bee literally caught in the act!
