The Order Of The Broom

Today was the first day of Merit Badge classes. After eating breakfast at the longhouse, Nick, Casey, Tom, Kyle, and Parker headed to the Glaize for our badges. I took Archaeology, Metalwork, American Cultures, and American Heritage here. We have great counselors for all of these badges and I'm looking forward to a good week. Lunch was at 12:30 and afterwards, my troop had signed up for open shoot at the rifle range. We all got to take turns shooting before it was time for the rest of our Merit Badges. I took Kayaking and Journalism in the afternoon. It started to thunder so we weren't allowed in the lake, but we still had stuff to learn on land anyway. After dinner we made a fire in our campsite and relaxed.

Today was also Jon's birthday. During dinner, "The Order of the Broom" comes around and gathers everyone who's birthday it is and we all sing to them together. This is Jon being called up.
