A Midsummer's Day

There is something rather nostalgic about an English garden on a midsummer's day. The lush green lawn and smell of beautiful roses, little paths bordered with hedges and 'secret' gates leading to other gardens beyond.

Mum and I enjoyed a short visit to the gardens of a local National Trust property Sissinghurst Castle. Yes I cheated on my Castle! In fact the Head Gardener at work suggested I visit.

An evening of music and laughter watching a Dirty Dancing Tribute Show made for a wonderful end to our day together.
