Mimulus guttatus

Our pond has been taken over by the Common Monkey Flower, Mimulus guttatus.

It looks like the rest of our garden, rather out of control. Duckweed is establishing itself again. Still no dragonflies, nor damselflies. Maybe another year.

Slowly recovering from the weekend but still very tired. Disappointed to discover that not only have we lost the use of the bus stop at the end of the road, the bus company has reduced the service to one bus per hour. Not good enough. I retrieved my new reading glasses from the optomotrists and was pleasantly surprised to discover that new lenses in old frames are nothing like as expensive as new specs. Popped in to see Colin and show him the wedding pics. Then to Loughborough to show Aziz the pics too.

He was falling asleep on his chair and losing concentration. Hope he got home safely. And even he agreed that Ramadan hours are crazy. Only (?!) another ten days to go.

Len had to leave at 6 am to get to Woodhouse Eaves where he served as polling clerk in the referendum voting from 7am - 10 pm. He's home now, but we're heading to bed to crash out.
