Cloudburst, Piccadilly

A day in London pursuing a possible work opportunity - I'm still waiting to hear if that is going to materialise.

After the meeting I took a stroll through St James, through Fortnum & Mason going in via the side entrance and out through their front door into Piccadilly, to discover the sudden and quite amazing fall of rain that had come on in the brief time I'd been inside.

Before the meeting I'd taken a walk through some old haunts in the 'Square Mile', including Warnford Court on Throgmorton Street, where my father had worked throughout most of my childhood and teenage years as an office manager with the stockbrokers Spencer Thornton & Co
