Sky Glade

Today was bright and sunny (in stark contrast to the day before!) so I headed out with a camera to photograph one of the places I'd been working on Wednesday of this week in my role as a National Trust Volunteer with the 'Outdoor Team' at Sheffield Park.

This is the Sky Glade, out in the parkland to the south of the main garden. Conceived as "a place for pausing and taking in views of the big open sky", the installation has been constructed from eight 12ft panels of Sussex oak, all taken from the same tree.
