Greek men at work ---

---- or at least passing the time and escaping from the blistering heat under the trees.

I am not too sure what board game these 2 groups of men were playing but it was late morning and we were spending our last full day in Corfu Town by walking into the old part of town. It was very hot, 33C at that stage but probably got up to the predicted 36C. Never mind back to Scotland tomorrow and more like 16C!

In town we enjoyed listening to a group of musicians busking in the street ( see extra) and then found a delightful taverna for lunch up a little side street.

Blipping late tonight as there was great excitement at the hotel after dinner with the arrival of Ioanna Viachou to launch her new CD - judging by the amount of bustling around by the hotel manager and staff, the photographers and all the musicians and well dressed entourage who arrived she must be well known at least in Corfu. We managed to get a well placed table to watch all the goings on and I thoroughly enjoyed her singing - I love Greek music despite not understanding a word of it!
