What a lovely day:-

Not to Care Less

Despite the surprising political news this morning and feeling buoyed up by the moment a visit to my girls (seen here) was quite enough to re-assure one that life so goes on dramatically despite everything.

The bees have had a week off  from foraging for nectar because of the change in the season which produces something which we beekeepers call "the June Gap"

The spring forage of sycamore and hawthorn flowers have finished and we await the arrival of the clover and blackberry flowers.

Such a period of idleness has a tendency to make the bees bad tempered and it is as well to keep well clear of them if you can!
