My late friend Brian used to park his car at this spot and then take his dogs for a walk.

I planted this oak tree here in his memory last winter.  In an earlier life the oak tree had been grown from seed by my grand-daughters and had outgrown the pot in which it had been germinated.

It is now about three feet high and, so far, seems to be doing all right. I occasionally water it but otherwise it seems to be thriving on neglect.
