Orkney Beach

A supreme warm day on the most secret beach in the County.  No tribute intended to Reginald Iolanthe Perrin, or his creator a Mr Nobbs.  After sunning ourselves we went out for a family meal to celebrate my M in Law’s 87th birthday.  How she didn’t pass the audition for the Tiller girls I’ll never know.  We were politely asked to leave after she did the splits on the counter.

Later folk in the bar were still agog of the Great British bake Off.  As people were stretchered out of the bar plans were made by the Current Mrs Creel, and her sister, for next weekend’s christening.

One older patron of the Merkister Hotel spoke fondly of Lulu MacDuff and her ability with her tassels.  Apparently rationing was still the order of the day.
