Snake

We had a family lunch at my brother's house today - 12 of us around the table. Inbetween courses, my nephew brought out his corn snake to show the girl cousins.
The snake gets fed once a week, and today was mealtime for him as well as for us. A frozen mouse was defrosted in a bowl of warm water and then we all crowded round to watch as it grabbed its food and then proceeded to swallow it whole...
