Swallows

When we first had the roof raised swallows kept coming into the roofed terrace trying to build their nests.
Then they kept coming in to roost on the beams and created quite mess.
So in order to keep them at bay I made about 8 crazy card birds and hung them from the beams. It worked!
Although we have had quite young swallows fly in and land on the backs of these card birds and sit there gently swirling round and round.
The other day we noticed a Carpenter bee, which are really quite big, climb into the back end of one! Luckily it wasn't building a nest or laying anything!
