In an effort to attract bees to my garden I have bought some lavender. I also bought basil as it smelled so wonderful but I will keep that in the kitchen as it gets munched by snails in the garden.

On my way to buy the lavender I saw the most agile squirrel as I drove through Epping Forest. The squirrel hurled itself across the road into the path of an oncoming car. Just as I thought it would be crushed by the back wheel of the car it did a swervey forward roll u-turn thing and scooted back to the safety of the verge. Amazing! I do not know how it escaped certain death!
