A Day Worth Recording

Hydro

We've been giving tours of the house and garden today/tonight as part of Malvern's "Civic [History] Week".  This caught the attention of a local who had been going through her late father's papers and had found this -  and brought it round to give to us this morning.

We knew of the 'Dell Hydro' phase of the house's history (a rather late bandwaggoner for the Malvern Water Cure) but very little in detail, and certainly had no evidence that it continued after the war.  During the war RAF families had been billeted here.

The image raises a number of questions. At least one chimney seems to have been shortened since but the biggest mystery is what on Earth is the garden structure in the bottom right?

Most past structures here have left some form of footprint, but this one is a complete surprise.

The Hydro was run by an "Hon. Member of The British Association of Naturopaths".
