Street Musician

An early start today for our SLPH meeting in London. We met at 08:30 for a breakfast of coffee and bagels at Cafe Columbia before wandering round Columbia Road Flower Market. Lots of stalls full of brightly coloured flowers waiting to be photographed - although there wasn't much room to manoeuvre as it was so busy.

We then walked to Brick Lane Market where we found several street musicians, flamboyant characters and some great street art. My blip today is of one of the street musicians.

We ended the day at Spitalfields Market, visiting the old and new markets. Stopped for lunch at The Diner, a typical American diner. Had a very nice cheeseburger and a Hard Shake (a milkshake with a difference).  I plumped for a 'Creamy Nut' - milkshake with hazelnut and pistachio ice cream with Baileys. Absolutely delicious - would definitely recommend one if you're ever near one of their diners!

A great day out with loads of fun as always with friends Jane, Trevor and Gill and new blipper Neil, whom I met on my recent Tuscany trip and 'encouraged' to join Blip, our group and Facebook!  ;-))
