Killary Harbour

Travelled up country through county Cork, Limerick and Claire, then at a more leisurely pace through the Connemara National Park and Co. Mayo, the light on the Loughs and mountains was stunning. Arrived in plenty of time to catch the ferry to Inisturk Island. The crossing which is an hour long was quite choppy. The sea legs and stomach were good though! There was a wonderful sense of peace and remoteness as we came into the small hourbour and walked the lane to our B&B. Later a lovely meal was enjoyed at the community hall, very sociable too sharing a table with our fellow travellers on the ferry. Another island adventure begins!
