Goldfinch: We Live For Fuzz!

As I walked through the Arboretum gardens on this morning, I discovered a number of American goldfinches snacking on yellow flowers. Actually, it wasn't the flowers they wanted. It was the fuzz, with seeds in. Fuzz! It's what's for breakfast! (You may learn more about American goldfinches at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology website.)
