A Colourful Day

Backblip 4

We were joined in the cottage yesterday evening by friends L and A and the four of us went out for the day, leaving J & M to do their own thing.  Our first port of call was the delightful town of Aberaeron, with it's pretty painted Georgian houses which line the main road and the harbour area.  The weather was gloriously sunny, which really showed off the reflections of the boats in the little harbour.  (see extras)

After lunch and a wander round the town, we went on to visit a nature reserve called Bwlch Nant yr Arian (don't ask me how to pronounce it!) for a very special feeding session. Mid Wales has a very large population now of the fabulous red kite and we watched in awe as hundreds filled the sky at 3 pm exactly, as they knew when the food was handed out:-)  So wonderful to see and so difficult to photograph, although I did take a few short videos too.  A day to remember:-)
