A Meandering Life...

Thinking of tomorrow

One hundred years ago today many a young lad would have scribbled a quick letter home before the big push tomorrow morning.

We must never forget what these boys did for us.

These poppies where in the garden of Château du Clos Luce in Amboise where Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years. On display are many life size models of his inventions but I felt the poppies where more important at this time.

I have added an extra of the bedroom where da Vinci died. It appears the cat wasn't that impressed.

There is also one of his multi firing guns. He made many sketches of machines of this nature including what can only be described as a tank. The final image is of the chateau with a model of a flying machine in the foreground.
