A Day Worth Recording

Wingnuts

A day of garden tours.  Firstly, the third and last of the Civic Week tours of our own house and garden to raise funds for charity; the other was a tour of Little Malvern Court house and garden.

You've seen this place before, on one of it's NGS open days.  The trip today was via the B&B consortium. We'd not seen inside the house before - it was rather a surprise.  It's amazing; the main body of the open part was the refectory of the adjacent monastery - so the ground floor room you walk into goes all the way up to the rafters.

This was followed by a walk around the garden in the drizzle with the gardener.  The tree we're sheltering under here is a wingnut tree.

Wonder if it comes in metric and BA sizes?
