Flower Friday

There was never any question of what I was going to Blip for today's flower challenge but had there been it would have been dispelled when I saw that host BikerBear had suggested a twist of 'B' for the challenge. Today was the 100th anniversary of the start of the Battle of the Somme, a dreadful conflict that cost 1,332,156 lives in the four and a half months that it lasted, as well as countless others who were left injured or mentally scarred. This poppy is in memory of all those killed or injured during that conflict.
