Grandparents Day

I have had a lovely day visiting the grandchildren in Woking for Grandparents Day at the primary school. The first part of the morning was to see the work of the youngest Grandson, Daniel, who was very keen to show off his skills to me and his other Granny. After a picnic lunch (in the classroom as it was raining too hard to even think about outside), there was a concert given by the trumpet players and clarinetists from the slightly older Year 4 children: Emily has been learning to play clarinet and it was a pleasure to see the enthusiasm in her face.

Another concert day for me tomorrow and this is the one with the tricky Schumann work. After a couple of extra rehearsals this week and some serious homework I think it will be 'alright on the night'!
