Transition time

Chacha has loved being down in Rio with us and it’s clear that she has been an indoor dog, used to company, being taken for walks and riding in a car. Now that she’s back up to the hills, will she adjust to being an outdoor dog, and not having our company during the week? I think there’ll be a lot of howling. I’d love to take both dogs back and forth with us, but HH doesn’t rate the idea and he’s right – Copacabana is no place for big dogs like Kayla, and there would always be a problem when we travel. And it wouldn’t be fair to leave Kayla up here and just bring the little one.

I would have been quite happy to stay down in Rio, but now that we’re up here, I’m loving it as usual. Nice big steaks for lunch at the club and now sitting in front of a roaring fire, trying not to feel guilty about the look on Chacha’s face as we came in and shut the door on her.
