A grey day today, but I went down to the town and stuck my head in the exhibition room where a member was taking her prints off the wall.

Walking back home up Hill Street past the old Rockfield Primary School - which has been saved from demolition and is on the way to becoming a Community Centre for Creativity - I turned along Taylor's Brae and took this picture overlooking the abandoned allotment gardens - must find out about this, maybe a local Blipper will tell me -  towards the car park which was once the site of Oban Gasworks.  A cave once existed behind the gasworks, where in 1877 several human skeletons, fragments of pottery, a flint chip and quantities of shells were found, in addition to human and animal remains. This was later completely destroyed by quarrying!
