Femsjøen

I decided to take a rest day today as ankle is niggling a bit, so hopped on the bike and went exploring along a new route. This is the 4th time I've been on a proper ride since arriving 3.5 weeks ago. I'm amazed by the smoothness of Norwegian roads, resurfacing them seems to be one of their favourite hobbies! The photo is taken from the north eastern end of the lake looking south west into the sun. The lake forms part of the Halden Canal system, which enables canal boats to travel from Halden to Skelerud, 75km north of Halden parallel with the Swedish border.
