Merganser Chicks and Linderhof Schloss

We visited another palace belonging to mad king Ludwig II, Linderhof Schloss.  He actually lived in this one and had quite a few other buldings in the grounds. We arrived around noon, bought some lunch from a cafe finding a nearby bench to eat it near a pond. We'd already decided that we'd look around the grounds for free and possibly get tickets to go on a guided tour later. It wasn't as busy as the other castles thank goodness, but there were still quite a few tourists of all nationalities visiting as well. We enjoyed our walk around the grounds getting wonderful views of the palace. We made sure we saw the fountain that starts up on the hour, it went suprisingly high in the air, see extra.

On the way back to Mittenwald we went for walk by a lake and saw these Merganser chicks with their parents. Another bird we don't get in Jersey very often.
