Their water source!, and what 1 Euro can do.

6th July 2016:

Its hard to believe that in the year 2016,  people can show you this as their source of DRINKING water.
It is hard to believe, but believe it, it's a fact.
AND this is life for maybe 884 million of the World's poorest, give or take a few million.

This is an area called Enukweni where we are just about ready to begin pump installations, where the villagers have dug the wells and our man has overseen the well construction.
The deal is that each village must provide bricks, sand, stones and all the labour. We supply the pump, fittings and cement.

I think that the plan is for 27 pumps to begin.

The GPS location is integral to the picture.

Half of the world's hospital beds are filled with people suffering from a water-related disease.
In developing countries, as much as 80% of illnesses are linked to poor water and sanitation conditions.
443 million school days are lost each year due to water-related diseases.
Girls under the age of 15 are twice as likely as boys to be the family member responsible for fetching water.
Nearly 1 out of every 5 deaths under the age of 5 worldwide is due to a water-related disease.

More than 840,000 people die each year from water-related disease.
In many developing countries, millions of women spend several hours a day collecting water from distant, often polluted sources.
Every minute a child dies of a water-related disease.
Diarrhea caused by inadequate drinking water, sanitation, and hand hygiene kills over 2,000 people per day, globally.
Finally it costs us, Wells for Zoe less than ONE Euro to give one person clean, safe drinking water for life.
