Homegrown Winter Tomatoes!

A couple of months ago, when I removed the old tomato plants from the greenhouse, I saved a few green fruits and hung them up over where they had grown. Usually I hang them in the kitchen, where they ripen in a few weeks. This year’s lot I’d written off, because there have been a number of frosts, but decided to keep the five better looking ones. I’m glad I did. The one I had for lunch was delicious, with a rich tomato flavour.
