Love through the Fence

Cocoa loves the sheep, the sheep love Cocoa.  Their relationship is a through the fence affair.

A controversial way to ensure a dog never chases sheep is to close it in a confined space with them.  I didn't do that. There's no need when they are in close contact from birth.

My sheep think they're dogs and tend to be over zealous in their greetings. Cocoa is only a fraction of the size and being mowed over by enthusiastic hooves hurts. Rocky's gone now. He finalised Cocoa's decision to keep well clear when he took to lifting the poor dog in the air with his horns.  A pet lamb, brought up in the house with the dogs thinks it's a game but  the fully grown animal had no idea of his strength or the pain he inflicted. From experience I can tell you it hurts and a broken coccyx last year is still causing trouble and may need an op.

No love lost, best of friends, they cuddle through the fence every day.
