Sezincote

We have friends staying this weekend and as they arrived by luchtime today we were able to visit Sezincote (open only Thu, Fri pm, and bank hols May to Sept). What a great afternoon.  Sezincote is 200 years old and is 875 feet above sea level. The tour of the home was very interesting. It was built by a gentleman who had travelled a lot in India and it is said that it influenced the design of the Brighton Pavilion after a visit by the Prince Regent. It is privately owned and the family live there using it as a home, hence the limited opening hours. We did see a marquee being stocked as we left...what a great place for a wedding. In extras, three pictures, the orangerie where we had a very inexpensive but delicious tea and cake, the view from the orangerie and the motley crew.
