Low Cloud over Davaar Island

16.8C and mainly bright. A couple of showers late morning then a cloudy spell before brightening up again. Moderate SE breeze then SSE wind to 26 mph with gusts to 36 mph.

Another quiet Saturday.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. Van Morrison on the iPod Mini (Down the Road). We just went out past the harbour and along the shore side of the narrow park to the little grass area by the cemetery where I had a seat,  listened to some music, and watched Gannets soaring over the loch. Then we wandered back along the street side of the park and came home though town passing the town hall and the second hand bookshop on the way.

In the harbour lots of the fishing boats were tied up at the old quay. BBC Holland was still at the new quay. Ayress was back, on the other side of the quay, taking on another load of wood. In the mist and low cloud out beyond Davaar island I could a see another cargo ship. I looked it up on marine traffic.com to find out its name. Louis. Either waiting to come into the loch or at anchor.

Afternoon music ... Van Morrison's Astral Weeks.
