The Telephone Queue

On the way back to Mum's we stopped at Mayfield Lavender.  The site was heaving with visitors - mostly of the typical tourist variety: it clearly wasn't the time for any really serious photography.

A major attraction was a classic red phone box - I wonder how many of those queuing up for their iconic image remembered, or were even old enough to remember, a time without mobile phones or even phones in the home, when queuing for the phone was the norm?
