Glamaig Hill Run 2016

This race was first started more than 100 years ago when a Ghurka, one of a group of climbers visiting Skye, ran barefoot to the top of Glamaig and back. His time was unbeaten for the first few years of the race.

The current record is around 45 mins for men, and 55 mins for women, over 4.5 miles, ascending 2400ft, is a sure test of determination and endurance!

Today's weather had them climbing to the top which we could not see due to cloud cover.  It also appears the descent is more of a controlled fall more than a run!
