New trees...

We may be in the final stages of the restoring and expansion of St. Peter's Square in Manchester. They are currently putting the finishing touches to the new tram station and the realignment of the rails that will allow the new cross city centre route into the square. They are putting the cross that marks the position of the altar of the long gone church that the square is named after back into its position. And they are finishing the paving. They've had fun this week planting huge trees around the square. They have been growing them for seven years in a specialist tree nursery and a huge crane was used to hoist them into position. They look like they have been there for years.
