Sunny Day

Much more hospitable than the Arizona sun, my own little sun is simply beautiful.  Another surprise from the infrared world.  The center of this sunflower is nearly jet black, and the fringes around its edge are deep brown/grey, but they turn out to be much lighter in IR.  The tan wall surprised me, too, by turning blue-grey.  I thought seeing in IR was going to be like learning to see in black & white but so far, it's far less intuitive to me.  That said, I love a challenge!
