Doors in Oslo # 91 Bestum school

I've been saving this stunning door, but I never thought that I would take more than 100 shots of door in Oslo. We really dont have many decorative doors in the city.

The school building is from 1921, designed by the Norwegians architects Morgenstierne & Eide. Back then there where about 146 pupils, and today over 577.  The door was just one , darker colour in 1921, and I'm not sure when they painted it with two colours, but it's been like this at least over 40-50 years.  I think it looks stunning now.

The old portraits busts are of Homer and Perikles and unusual busts to have on a Norwegian elementary school.
