Shadows & light

Kirk Wynd early on a cloudless morning. Only 7° when I got up just after 6am.

It's one of the town's more attractive streets. The church is the Old Kirk, which goes back to 1244 but it has been rebuilt since then. The tower dates from the 15th century. Adam Smith - author of The Wealth of Nations - was christened there. Not a church anymore, after 800 years. Surplus to requirements, but bought by a community group to preserve it.

I was on my way to a more prosaic venue - Len Dow's barbershop. Now feeling suitably tarted up.
