Buckingham Fountain

Jennie and I planned on taking the 11:00 Amtrak train to Chicago this morning, but the baby had other plans. After waking up about 6 this morning, Jennie put her down for a nap somewhere around 9:30, & she didn't wake up until almost 12:15, so she must have needed the sleep! Instead of waking her early we just took the 1:00 train down instead, which was fine. We walked and walked and walked--we saw "Cloud Gate" and Millennium Park, went through the Art Institute of Chicago, walked to the Lake and saw the Buckingham Fountain, and ended with the Willis Tower, where I sat down below & waited while Jennie and the baby went up to the top. There are glass bottomed enclosures that are built off the sides of the building at the top (that you can walk out onto), & while Jennie was excited to do it, I dislike heights & there was no way on earth I was going up there & stepping out onto glass!! Not even for a million dollars!! We came back on the 8 p.m. train & were home by 9:45. A long day for all of us, but the baby, as usual, was such a happy little traveler, just looking around at everything and smiling! She was in better shape than I was!!  :))
