A well kept secret.

Slovenia is such a beautiful place - it really exceeded our expectations.

We caught the bus from Ljubljana to Bled this afternoon and checked into our accommodation - a lovely apartment within walking distance to the lake and a view of the mountains.  
Our first stop by the lake was for a coffee and the famous Kremna Rezina or Bled cream cake. It is a bit like a French vanilla slice, feather light and creamy. 
This photo shows the view from our dinner table by the lake. The food and wine were great, as usual. The Slovenian cuisine has been a pleasant surprise - more sophisticated and imaginative than Austrian. The idyllic ambiance was topped off by this talented musician playing the clarinet and recorder in front of the diners.
