Sprint

The intermediate sprint in Pézenas during today's stage of the Tour de France. You can just make out Peter Sagan in the green jersey managing second place - but not to worry, forty kilometres later he won the stage in a thrilling finish in Montpellier.
If the action seems compressed to a small space in the image, that's what it's like to see the Tour: two hours waiting, an interminable procession of official cars, the demented advertising vehicles of the publicity caravan (see extra), and then just when you're starting to wonder what this spectacle is all about,192 racing cyclists pass in a flash.
Memories of course of this image three years ago.
