Mid morning rest

Early to the unit this morning so that I could see a patient before she went out on leave for the day. It had to be very early as I started the day with supervision, followed by walking to the outpatient centre for their weekly meetings before walking back again, by which time she was out.

On the way back I went down the road to the rowing club on the edge of Lake Pupuke (the extra is of that road to the lake). Off to the southwest corner of the lake is where the shags rest. This morning there were a couple of karuhiruhi (Pied Shag) on parts of a fallen tree. By itself on a broken pile from a no-longer existing wharf, was this kawau tui (Little Black Shag).

A longer day at work than I have had so far this week, and still earlier than previously.
