Plodging……..

…..is the order of the day down on Cullercoats beach today……some of them are taking a more extreme approach than others. It quite took me back to the good old days when the beach was ALWAYS packed when there was even the slightest glimmer of sunshine (and preferably no ice on the beach) Apparently todays unexpected invasion is a  multiplicity of school beach parties from far and wide…..have to say, they've got great weather for it!

For the uninitiated, plodging is midway between paddling and wading (though it's also interchangeable with either of the above), whilst 'plodging through the clarts' is the muddier, winter version….y'know, the sort that sucks your wellies off ;-) 
It's today's no-brainer larnyerselgeordie word…...
