Nope, Not Abstract, but a Characture

This is a chicken, pounded out of sheet metal, molded around shapes to help give the overall effect.  Another example of the Amish artisans.
Today, we drove around Lansdale, Pa.  We were looking at forests, hilly roads, farms, small hamlets, beautiful old houses parks with hiking trails, horse trails, almost anything you wanted to do that wasn't motorized.  We drove 58 miles as we toured around.  Lunch was at a Menonite Smorgasbord .   The homemade soup was fabulous , the roast beef sandwich which was ordered thick, pink, and tender with a great dipping sauce.  In the extras you will find flowers from Lancaster, and a horse and buggy waiting station....  you can sit and wait to be picked up or you hitch your horse and go shopping.  What a wonderful life!
It has been an easy day, as tomorrow I am leaving Pa and heading south to the Shenandoah Valley.  It is time to start thinking about getting home by Sunday.  Sadly, the great adventure is starting to wind down.

Miss the girls, though....  they are waiting for me to come home.
