In the meadow

The meadow nearby has proved to be a fertile source for plants and wildlife of all sorts. So much so that one starts to entertain notions of "how many images could I get from one square metre of the ground".

For it is certainly the case that the more you look the more you find. Plants common and unusual. Plants flowering and dying. Dead leaves of incredible intense colours. Bees, grasshoppers (assorted and various), lizards young and old. Ants and crickets.

I know this plant as wild cotton; I'll track down its proper name.

Biodiversity is alive and kicking in this corner of Umbria.
